Set in the delightful surroundings of St Mary’s Church, Shipley, a Grade I listed Knights Templar church dating back to the 12th century, our opening Shipley Arts Festival concert celebrates the beauty of choral and string music.
Featuring the Shipley Festival Strings and members from the London Christian Choir, alongside the Bernardi Music Group, the programme includes the Paul Lewis’ Shipley Violin Concerto, Elgar’s The Snow, Haydn’s uplifting The Heavens Are Telling from The Creation, Bach’s beloved Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Stamford’s Bluebird, and a work by James Whitbourn.
