Over the past several years, Shipley Arts Festival has extended its international reach into Asia through its Hong Kong & Macau Chapter, strengthening long-standing cultural ties across the Greater Bay Area.

Led by Festival Director Andrew Bernardi performing on his treasured Stradivarius violin, the tour combines distinguished concert appearances with meaningful educational outreach. Performances and masterclasses have taken place across Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, reflecting the Festival’s mission of Connecting Communities through music.

Engagements have included collaborations with University of Macau, La Salle College, St. Joseph’s Primary School, and the prestigious Hong Kong Golf Club, alongside special events hosted by the British Embassy Hong Kong and the British Consulate-General Guangzhou.

Through concerts, masterclasses and cultural exchange, the Hong Kong & Macau Chapter represents a valuable extension of Shipley Arts Festival’s artistic vision, building bridges between the UK and Asia, nurturing young talent, and fostering lasting international partnerships through the shared language of music.
