Tonight we will be marking four hundred years of composer William Byrd. Malcolm Singer will be conducting the Shipley Parish Choir with his ‘Shipley Psalms’ to mirror Bernstein’s ‘Chichester Psalms’ of 1965. Tim Peters (Director of Horsham Chamber Choir) brings his Horsham Chamber Choir with a musical surprise, and the fantastic young musicians of String Academy will also perform side by side with our professional ensemble.
We look forward to bringing together an eclectic programme that reflects the beautiful environment of our parish, the wilding of Sussex, and the English composers from William Byrd to our own John Ireland who rests outside the south porch. Tonight’s programme will be conducted by: Malcolm Singer and Tim Peters
